These photographs are from a trip to Oaxaca, Mexico in 2000. I traveled to Oaxaca for El Dia De Los Muertos (The Day of the Dead) and was completely engrossed in the culture and traditions of the Oaxacan people. However, I couldn’t help but feel like a tourist, and it was the other tourists who caught my eye photographically. I turned my lens and my sense of humor towards them and produced this series of images. As I travel, I intend to do the same in other parts of the world.
